Excited to offer updates

The purpose of Long Trail Canine Rescue.....to make new permanent matches between families and dogs in need.  To the outside world who sees the outcome of what we do, it's simply a wonderful thing to read about after the matches have been made.  For those of us behind the scenes, working countless amounts of hours to make said outcome happen....it's truly beyond the scope of what one can imagine.  Starting with the whimsical idea of  "... I'd like to have my own rescue someday..."   to really making it happen...it's a long and winding road full of potholes and mishaps and also beautiful opportunities to make a difference.

Everyday you learn something new and everyday there are new things to do to keep the rescue up and running to it's full potential and more importantly to ensure the dogs in our care are set up for success from the moment they cross into our world and our care.  It really does take a team to be successful.  We are lucky enough to have a great core team of individuals who will dedicate time and effort to seeing Long Trail Canine Rescue continues to make a difference by saving lives and offering support that is above and beyond what we have come to learn is often the "norm" in the rescue world.

We know there are millions of dogs that need saving.  We know there are millions of dogs that won't be fortunate enough to get a chance to have the life they so very much deserve.  We know we can't save them all.  What we do know for sure is those we do save will be set up for the most successful life possible from the moment they becomes ours.

We are excited about the matches we've made thus far and are truly looking forward to the matches we will continue to make.  Check back often as we will continue to publish updates and pictures of those who have been fortunate enough to find new families.  Believe me when I say that these updates and pictures are what makes this all worth it.  Truly the silver lining.
