Coco is settling in very nicely and seems to have made it through the first week with flying colors! She is eating her meals now and we have been able to give her full run of our house now and she has stayed out of trouble when alone in our house. Coco is proving to be quite the running partner and has been enjoying 3 mile runs with me in the mornings before I head off to work. I’m training for a 10k and probably a half marathon at some point this summer, so I’m guessing she’ll be quite happy to build up her distance with me…as I’m typically the one that is out of breath and so far Coco hasn’t even broken into a pant on our runs! She is also very smart for sure, as we have been throwing the ball with her in our backyard using a lacrosse stick and she figured out that if she brings the ball back and drops it into the head of the stick, the quicker we can throw it again.
We were happy to make a donation to your group as we understand the cost of caring for dogs and all the other expenses that come along with running a rescue program. Here are a few pictures, they’re not great as I took them with my blackberry but I figured I would send them anyways.
